Fire Test for Modular Access Panels

Mason Modular Access Panel system was designed by Mason in response to a demand for a fire resistant, wind pressure resistant, demountable modular acoustic barriers. The system has been tested in accordance with a range of International Test Standards including Fire Test Standards.

 A prototype model Modular Access Panel unit was sent to the Internationally recognized, Warrington Fire Research Melbourne Australia for testing to BS476 Parts 20 & 22. The specimen was 3000 x 3000 and incorporated an Mason Sound Lock doorset.

Temperature of the furnace which was regulated to follow the Standard Time/Temperature curve reached approximately 1080C after 4 hours test duration. Pressure within the furnace was controlled in accordance with the Standard.

 The Mason Modular Access Panel prototype remained intact for the full duration of the test and qualified for 4 hours integrity rating
