Small hard body impact tests have been conducted in accordance with BS 5234 Part 2a1992 Annex B and D. The tests showed that under Annex B for an impact force of 15N.m the surface deflection was well within the specified deflection requirement with no failure or damage to the structure.

Applying Annex D, the resistance to the panel to being perforated by an impact energyof 30 N.m was assessed.  The maximum recorded deflection  was within the acceptable range.  Again the panel was found to suffer no impact damage both to the panel and to the structure.
