Load Testing for Suspended Ceiling Systems.

Load Testing for Suspended Ceiling Systems. Mason Ceiling systems undergo extensive testing during product development stage to make sure that they meet relevant International Standards and to ensure that they give safe, long service to clients. Load testing at the Mason Research & Development Center is one of the tests that Mason uses to establish the integrity of the Ceiling Systems.

Mason’s suspended metal ceiling systems are load tested on the Mason test rig which is able to conduct tests in accordance with ASTM-C-635-04 Standard Specification for the manufacture, performance and testing of metal suspension system for acoustical tile and lay-in panel.

After development testing, final tests are conducted and witnessed by FIBO acting as an independent third party. Test Reports issued by FIBO confirm that the range of Mason suspended metal ceiling systems meet International Standards ASTM-C-635-04 for load bearing capacity.

In addition to these tests, Finite Element analysis of the ceiling systems is also undertaken to assess the structural characteristics of the systems.

Finite Element Analysis is used to determine the structural properties of Mason products. This analysis is just one step in the process of developing products which are fit for purpose and which meet world wide Standards.

Finite Element Analysis of Mason Metal Suspended Ceiling Systems is typical of the rigorous testing regime applied on all Mason products.
